Neat! Cool-looking 3D game, runs very well and its mechanics are interesting ( though, I didn't really get any further than on the level where you see that yellow dressed guy for the first time.

Also, is it a crazy coincidence, or are some aspects of this game inspired by the anime JoJo?
The character is dressed in purple like a character in that anime who also has the ability to make things explode when he touches them. Also, in the description of the game you said something about leading a quiet life, and that's also one of that guy's main goals! :D

Either way, not too bad of a game! I'd add more decorations surrounding you to make the levels seem more interesting and lively. Maybe also a couple other things.

The game is made in a doom / wolfenstein engine which is probably why it runs so well. And yeah its based off of jojo part 4, I really love the aesthetic of that part especially the yellow sky and Kira is my favorite villian. I did think about adding more things as decorations such as lamps, but right now the engine is very limited and for now things like that may just be distractions but I may add some more things as the engine is improved.

Very straightforward, but great game for your first submission on here! ;) It plays quite well, reacts to my inputs accordingly and isn't too buggy. There are some minor things that I'd improve on to make the game seem more high quality, like maybe more detaild art ( with less emerging pixels ) and more gameplay elements and modes.

Also, that sound when you lose is great xD
Good job on this, keep up what yoz're doing! ;)

uadla responds:

thanks a lot, for your input!

I'm just a hobbyist, and it's my second game. I need to add more gameplay, I think that reach 800 points will be a little long and bored, maybe repetitive.

Alright, this seems like a pretty neat game, definitely caught my attention the moment I saw it :)
I really like the game's mechanic, and the UI is designed pretty well, however, I feel like the game is overall a bit confusing and could be made a little bit more simple.

I don't know, maybe using more colors or making houses/icons bigger and easier to grab? I kinda felt overwhelmed at a point with the many different buildings, and I really feel like the icons could be made bigger since there's quite a bit of free space and they are kinda hard to click ( well, not really, but if you combine that with the somewhat tricky gameplay it becomes hard to focus).

Well, either way, nice game so far ^_^ Just keep improving it and try to make it maybe a little bit more easy to grasp. But other than that, Merry Christmas! ;)

Thank you for the input, I actually hadn't realized but because of the CRT tv effect the collisions on the Presents were a little off. I fixed that and increased the size a bit to make it easier to interact with.
Thank you and Merry Christmas!!

Checking out another game by you, and this one is just as cool as Cardboard Hero Christmas :D
But this one has more incovenient things in it that could easily be fixed and definitely make the game feel more polished,.. like the screen resolution ( the bottom part is cut out for me ), WASD instead of SEFD ( like, why did you even choose that control instead of the tradition WASD? xD)

You could also add more to the game so that you can play it by yourself too or just have even more fun in 2 player. That'd be neat.
But, I think the game looks alright the way it is. There is nothing that seems too weird in the gameplay, it's working well ^^ Though I'd suggest to fix the bugs I've mentioned and maybe also add a bit more to the game (though the chests seemed neat, but maybe more characters or gameplay mechanics would be good).

Metellus1998 responds:

Thanks for your feedback. I was able to fix the problem with the screen resolution and like you i would have also liked the wasd buttons way more but sadly we made this game with an engine named pico8. This engine is very limited, so limited Indeed that you couldn't make the wasd buttons to work.

But for a game made in just 2 weeks by 2 students i am very proud of what became of it.

SImple, but fun Christmas-themed game! For how simple it is, it's quite entertaining and addictive, I like it ^_^ You managed to combine the game components in a way where everything is kept simple but is rather fun. Nice job! ;)

Well, don't know what else to say... Maybe just expand the game a bit by adding more features to it? Or I'll just check out another interesting game by you ;^

Metellus1998 responds:

Thanks for your Feedback this game was made in a 2 week GameJam at our Gamedesign School in Colonge, Germany. For the short time we hade we are very proud of what came out of it.

We are currently looking into the things we could add to the game:)

Excellent design on this game! ;) The menu looked epic and the attacks and different looks from both players are also pretty neat.
The game is visually very appealing, but it falls somewhat short in other aspects... it's pretty slow in rendering the animation and the stage is quite small. Those things combined together make it difficult to enjoy the combat system.

Also, kinda unfortunate that the only option to really play the game is with another player. 2-player modes are great, but it's better as extra rather than something your game relies on, since players who are by theirselves can't really play like that :(

Overall, the game looks dope in some aspects, but in general it's not too polished. Could use some work to improve the overall game experience ( faster speed, more controls ) and just make it more "playable" in general. ;)

artcupper responds:

Thank you very much for your comment, the truth this time at a very early stage, I am working hard to achieve a more polished result!

Cool! The game has a very neat sketch art style, with very polished and satisfying sound effects and animations. Seems to be a really cool game, I'd definitely like to play it for a bit longer, but the gameplay seems quite tricky :(
At first I didn't get how it works, but then I just messed around and read the actual game description and figured out that I aparently need to time my attacks and like get into a rhythm, but it just seemed like I always got stunned or wasn't able to perform normal combos, no matter what...

A tutorial for the game at the start or some small gameplay tweaks/more explanations would be very appreciated. Nevertheless, this looks like a really cool mobile game ^_^

KayPacha responds:

We have some problems with the initial page of instructions on web, so we could not place it. If you try the mobil version you will see cool instructions. We are really grateful for your comment, when you miss attacks (that means click or tap anything except the enemies) the bar will back off until stunned. Thanks for your feedback.

Basic, but pretty addictive time waster! Played this for solid 10 minutes :D It's pretty fun, easy, relaxing and the different food pieces prevent it from becoming too repetitve within the first 2 minutes.

However, it's still VERY simple and I would suggest to add more features to it ( well, standard things like powerups, more food slices, ability to actually lose ) and so on. Also, while I stated that it isn't too repetitve, it is repetitive.
xD

Erigatohishima responds:

You can loose,Tho it's intentionally easier for the first few rounds to not make things too hard for some players before they really get the hang of things,I'm not sure what type of powerups i could add to the game without going overboard so i'll have to think about this carefully and More food slices i can do.

Seeing that this is your first submission on the site, if got to admit, this looks incredible! The visuals are very detailed and the athmosphere is pretty dark and spooky 0_0 The visuals on the game were great and I even liked the unexpected twists that came, like when you fell from one platform at a point and also how the game ended :D

Only thing bothering me was the speed. I'd speed the game up a little.
Besides that, this is some great work! Have you developed all the game's pieces by yourself? ^^

NikSaints responds:

Thanks, I did. But it is yet not finished version of a game.:)

Hmmm... the effects are really cool, and the level design is quite interesting, but I don't really get the name of the game xD
Either way, neat try... ended up dying +50 times on the 5th or 6th stage, I think... ouch...
It would've been great if the game had more responsive and smooth controls, considering how difficult it is and how precise you have to be with your timing.

Still, looks pretty decent so far. Well done ;)

Lakshaymavia responds:

Tried some changes on control.. Now give it a try..:)
