Great game concept! The art style is quite simple but very cute ^_^ The upgrade simple follows the same simple, but well thought-out pattern :^)
My only complaint is that the game is a bit too difficult. I didn't play it very long, but my problem is that the you get too little money from the slimes you kill and the upgrades cost too much. At one point there's just so many enemies on the screen that I feel overwhelmed and can't do much against those massive hordes with so little money.

Other than that, I really like the game so far! It'd be cool if you develop it more and maybe even add some medals to it ;^)

DagonDev responds:

oh yeah!! Thanks for your feedback!! It helps me a lot!! ;)

The game is very minimalistic, but I like how it's looking so far! The visuals are great and clean ^_^
As mentioned below, I think the respawn could definitely be made quicker, when I was dying due to the jellyfish, I got a bit irritated because of how long it took me to get back there... just to die again ;D That part was pretty hard for me, the hitbox of the jellyfish is big and they're very close to each other.
It would be cool if you expand on this game and add more bells & whistles to it, it has great potential! Keep up the good work! Did you use Godot to develop this ? ;)

LegionGames responds:

I'm sorry about the annoying things LOL. If you wait for a little bit, the jellyfish move in prearranged formations and there are some pre-made gaps in those. :D Thank you so much for the kind words!

As always, you never cease to impress with your games! :D
I love the diversity in the game, there're many different obstacles, various enemies and just an overall fun and well-working gameplay! This is truly a high-quality game, always glad to stumble upon those once in a while ^_^

Great job! This seems to be your best game so far (though it's been a while since I've played your older ones, so I don't remember for sure xD). Are you planning on expanding this some more? It has tons of potential! ;^)

IceDrumGames responds:

Great thanks! Yes, this is my best game for sure:D
I am a bit tired of my wizard now but may be some day I will come back to him
Also updated some of the controls few minutes ago

Holy smokes, yet another brilliant game coming from you! I love this game idea, haven't seen a game with anything like that in a while, last time I saw something similar was back when I played Geometry Dash. I love the overall fast pace of the levels and the fact that you don't have to start all the way from the beginning when you die.
It also plays really well, never did I get the feeling that a death I've had was unfair or caused by a bug. Though, I'd certainly blame the game's difficulty for that ;^) It's a fun challenge, though ^_^

Prox276 responds:

Thank you very much! I really appreciate your encouraging words! If you like simple arcade-based games; I have something coming very soon ;)

Awesome game! Great to see something different from the majority of games on here once in a while, this one featured phenomenal graphics along with bright & colorful special effects and a fast-paced and fun gameplay... I feel like the game is a tad bit hard, since I've died at the part with the timed door for like ten times, but maybe I just had to try harder... ;^)

Anyways, good job on this game! I'll definitely come back to this later to try and reach further to get to see more of this brilliant game :) What did you use do develop it?

RatThing responds:

Thanks for the kind words, they really mean a lot!

It is very possible that the game is a little too difficult, I had to play it so many times in testing that judging how hard it would be for new players was challenging. If you are curious as to how to get past the timed door point, standing between the teleporters to kill the enemies as they spawn is a cheap but effective strategy.

I developed the game in C# using unity - all art was done in Photoshop with a drawing tablet.

iFantástico! I really enjoyed this game, it plays very well and has great graphics, though I feel like it's a bit too slow and repetitive at the start, it would certainly be more convenient if the game could move at a quicker pace, though it's good for what it is ^_^

I've looked on your page and I've seen that you have several more interesting-looking games made. It'd be great if you could upload them on here, we need more high quality games like this one ;)

Dazlog responds:

About uploading the other games, will do! Thanks for the feedback, I want to work on a post-jam versions making the game a bit faster and less repetitive.

Fantastic game! I have enjoyed every single aspect of it, from the smooth gameplay with interesting level designs, to the message the game is relaying: as in how harmless drugs appear at first, but they are in fact dangerously addictive and fatal to your health. And broccoli gives you superhuman speed... Yeah, I'd agree on that! ;D

Overall, this game is very well-made. I like the fact that it's not too long and not too difficult, but still a decent challenge and in case you want to make things more interesting, you can just try to collect more points and avoid more cigarettes! Also, the sound quality of the sounds and music was very crisp ^_^

Neat! The gameplay is very smooth and fun and I've enjoyed the increasing difficulty and complexity of the levels! I'm definitely gonna get all of those medals ;P
By the way, one thing totally caught me off-guard. I've noticed that in the software section to the left you have "Inkscape" added. Did you only use Inkscape to make this game's art? If yes, then I'm really impressed, I use it on a day to day basis and didn't know you could make full games using it! ;D

Rob1221 responds:

Yes, I used Inkscape to make all the objects in the game. My engine doesn't use vector images so they all get exported to PNGs first.

Great to see you making more games like this! I'm loving this killer series! Each game is the same at the core, but they each have their own twists and unique mechanics! Each one feels so polished and fun to play, I'm loving it ;P The aesthetics of the levels, along with the smooth gameplay and crisp sound effects create a very enjoyable gaming experience ^_^

On another hand, I'm curious, what engine are you using for your games?

jronn responds:

Glad you're enjoying it! :)

I'm using a javascript framework called Phaser (https://github.com/photonstorm/phaser)

How adorable :3 I enjoyed the overall look of the game, the 3d assets look decently realistic and cute ;) I also like the jungle-themed soundtrack going along with the game and its animal toys, makes me feel like I'm the lion and it's my mission to show those peasant animals who's the king of all animals.
Regarding the gameplay aspect, I had some trouble attacking the toys, it was just difficult having to move in a three-dimensional space with the view I was given and there were lots of toys approaching me and they were pretty sturdy, too.
Nevertheless, I think the overall gaming experience is very interesting, the game's overall theme is neat and despite me not being able to properly play the game, I've had fun just randomly launching my toy across the room like a madman! ;D I've liked this one, keep up the great work!

JelleVermandere responds:

Hey, thanks for the great feedback! I get your point about the gameplay. I basically made a little physics sandbox where I slapped some gameplay on, the physics could use some finetuning as does the clarity in 3d space. Something to think about for an update in the future!
