This is great! I'm surprised I've managed to get so far (level 7), despite being on the verge of quitting at the first level already xD The game was reaaally difficult for me at the start for some reason and I was going to quickly tell you to decrease the game's difficulty by a lot, but now it seems okay and more balanced :)

Though, another problem I've had in terms of difficulty was with distinguishing myself and the enemies, it was mainly a problem at the start and got OK later since you could see yourself from a huge distance, but I'd suggest maybe making it so the different blocks have a bit more contrast and so that everything is a bit more smooth and moves at more frames. That way, you can coordinate your moves more precisely and not have an enemy hitting you everytime because you were too slow or something xD

Anyways, this was a good one! Fun to play and also felt a bit different from what I've been playing in the last couple of weeks ;)

Oh, this was made in just a month ? This is quite impressive, the gameplay really reminds me of playing Monument Valley and other complex 3d puzle platformer games like this. I feel like more games on Newgrounds should have this kind of gameplay, since it's really fun and makes you quite literally think outside the box :^

There's just three things that slightly bothered me. First, the background and platforms could be decorated a bit more to seem more appealing and interesting.
Secondly, the music gets a bit repetitive and I feel like it could be changed slightly. How about adding multiple, short tune loops that are a bit quieter but more distinct from each other and relaxing ? ^_^
And last but not least I think the controls could also be changed a bit, I can't really get my head around having to press down to go diagonally left-down ( or whatever it exaclty was xD) Considering the angle from which you view the character, using the arrow keys is a bit inconvenient..

Either way, for a game made within a month you did a cool job on this, but I think it'd be awesome to see you improve on it even further! :D

Thanks! Seeing the rest of the responses, I do need to reevaluate the controls, the rest are also very valid points, maube if I find the tile, I'll make some more levels and upgrade the look a bit

Wow! This looks like a cool game, the game design is very colorful and has a bunch of neat glows/effects. Also, I like the soundtrack as well, it fits the game pretty well and is catchy ^_^

I didn't get too far into the game, but as I was playing it I didn't feel like it was missing anything... maybe you could try to somehow improve the frame rate ( by perhaps slightly reducing some of the effects ) since some stages require you to have very percise timing to catch the stars.

Anyways, good work! Keep it up! ;^)

thanks for cheering ^_^ , I'll change things on next update

Wow, here I am, thinking that the previous game you've created was very weird an unusual... and then I come across this (what in the world was that music) xD
This one is definitely more interesting than your previous one. I like the Battle Royale aspect where everyone fights everyone and you've got to do your best to survive. I feel like the viewport should be fixed a bit ( mama bird covers huge area and you can't see the back of the map, the front end of the map is also a bit hard to see exactly ).

Other than that, pretty cool game. Gonna try it some more times to survive those 60 secs xD

Heheh, this was a bit bizzare, but this feels like a neat game :) It works really well ( haven't run into any real bugs or annoyances ) and it doesn't lag too much, which leads to a good game experience.
I like how at first it easy as cake since there are many carrots and you only have one eye, but after each carrot it gets exponentially more difficult since you view is just all over the place ( well, I cheated and mostly just looked at the map at the bottom map :P ).

Anyways, could've been longer, but I enjoyed the 2-3 minutes I spent on this.

Wow, I'm impressed... I actually got addicted to the game and played the whole thing through without realizing. Wow!! :D

The gameplay is very simple and I've seen this sort of puzzle many times before, yet I still think they're really fun to play :^)
Also, while playing the game I didn't think that much about it, but it was at the end when I realized just how weird the plot of the game is xD A puppy... with no real bones. That's perhaps why it was chasing the bones in the first place xxD

Anyways, fantastic job on this game! It feels polished and is definitely playable ( considering I beat it and had fun ). Keep up! ;)

!! thank you so much for your response! I didn't realise the irony either, but now that you bring it up it's pretty funny XD i'm very glad you enjoyed it :')

This is definitely better than the previous game version, but there could still be done more to improve it...

It's still extremely difficult, it took me a lot of effort to get past that triangular platform with cogs on it at the first stage, and I wasn't able to finish the second one at all.
It's good that you actively tried to improve the game by adding some small things (like the menu) and tweaking it a bit to make it somewhat easier, but I'd still suggest making it easier ( I suggest focusing more on the controls and the distance between the cog wheels ).
Also, I think it'd be cool if you tried to make everything more zoomed out so the character seems smaller and make the mag a bit wider.

Anyways, keep uo the good work! If you need advice on how you could make your games a bit better, you can always ask me ;^)

Oh, I remember you... You're the creator of that one game Big Tower Tiny Square, great to see you back with another project :3
This game is... a little bit strange, but I'll go with that xD It has a very clear and nice-looking pixel art style and quite fun, but difficult to get used to gameplay. I also think that it's a big bummer that you have to start all the way from the beginning after you die, I can't even control the eel properly xD
Some mini-checkpoints would make this a bit more enjoyable. I didn't get far so I can't judge too much from this point on, but in case there aren't any new obstacles or anything like that later on, I'd be cool to add something like that too ^_^

Anyways, this is an interesting looking project here, despite me failing really hard at it :D

EvilObjective responds:

I am that guy, thanks! This project is a little different... I had checkpoints in originally along with more difficult level design, but I found it too unsatisfying to make it to the end with the checkpoints. I ended up removing them and dialing back the difficulty. Unfortunately the wonky controls are not being very well received and it is probably still too difficulty but oh well, live and learn. Thanks for playing and for the feedback, I do appreciate it!

This is an amazing game! 0_0 At first, it seemed a bit strange to me and I didn't understand where to go and how things would work out, but after you search very carefully for monsters you can kill or passages you can take, you'll be collecting more and more items which will allow you to kil more and more monster types and advance further into the dungeon.

It was a mind puzzle at first, and towards the end just heavy spamming to finish the as soon as possible and get through the long dungeon xD

The game has a neat style. It's very simplistic, but fun to play. To make it even more fun I'd suggest adding some animations to the character movements ( since they seem so dull ) and maybe also some mini games when fighting stronger monsters, instead of just beating them in one second.
Nevertheless, fantastic job with this project here! :P

Fantastic roguelike RPG! :) Despite it being mostly just text and some small stats/highlighted words/numbers, it's still very fun to play this game. It's a bit of a bummer that it's just a demo ( though, I died so early on that I doubt I'd be able to reach the demo to its end easily xD ).

Overall, this game feels very polished with all those different dialogues, options you can choose from, ruins and so on. I feel like the game could use some soundtrack or something else which could spice up the game experience ;^)

Great job on this game! ^_^
